On August 17, 2005 Hear See Hope’s inaugural fundraising event was held at the Big Picture Theatre in Seattle, Washington. Close to 100 business people attended the event to view the premier of Hear See Hope’s DVD. The DVD tells the story of Conner McKittrick, a then 5 year old recently diagnosed with Usher syndrome Type 1, and gives background on Usher syndrome from Dr. Richard Weleber with the Casey Eye Institute at the Oregon Health Sciences University and Dr. Kathleen Sie with Children’s Hospital in Seattle. We would like to thank everyone that helped make this event a success and look forward to others being able to view the DVD. Our sincere thanks for the outstanding support we received that evening. |
